IB-backed Election Day Registration passes Maryland General Assembly with veto-proof majority

Last year, Indivisible Baltimore teamed up with Common Cause Maryland to get a ballot measure approved for Election Day Registration for the November 2018. 67% of Maryland voters approved the ballot measure, paving the way for EDR legislation in the General Assembly this year. On April 1, the Maryland General Assembly passed Election Day Registration (HB286) with a veto-proof majority, allowing Maryland to join 14 other states and DC in allowing Election Day Registration.
