United for Maryland, the Greater Baltimore Grassroots Coalition, and Indivisible Baltimore hosted the first Democratic Gubernatorial Forum in Baltimore in the 2018 campaign. The forum was held at the War Memorial in downtown Baltimore and was moderated by Phylicia Porter.
All seven Democratic gubernatorial candidates participated in the forum, including:
- Rushern Baker
- Ben Jealous
- Kevin Kamenetz
- Rich Madaleno
- Alec Ross
- Jim Shea
- Krishanti Vignarajah
The candidates were asked questions on a range of issues that affect Baltimore City and the surrounding region. Dr. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings made closing remarks and the attendees had an opportunity to meet the candidates in person after the event.
