On Saturday, January 20, thousands of people from Baltimore city and the surrounding area rallied in front of city hall for the 2018 Baltimore Women’s March, celebrating the one-year anniversary of the enormous DC march that marked the beginning of a nationwide resistance movement against the Trump administration. Organized by a steering committee that included members of many local groups including Indivisible Baltimore, it featured numerous speakers including Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen and Representatives Dutch Ruppersberger and John Sarbanes, who came to Baltimore to in the midst of a government shutdown crisis in Washington.
The event was covered throughout local TV and news, including at the Real News Network, Baltimore Magazine, and the Baltimore Sun (a complete list of coverage is here).
